It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

At the Mattoons!! 

We got a real live tree this year. I love it. My friend Ashlee cut down an extra and gave it to us. At first it looked a little Charlie brownish but after the lights and ornaments went on it just perfect. 

We put up the village and it just perfect this year. We got a few new pieces that really complete the look. 

I also had some time to make some crafts. Including this big bow for the top of our tree. 

And wreath on our front door. I made it from the bottom branches we cut off of the tree. 

I'll have to document a few more decorations because this year I actually have the time!

Happy bday to me.

This year I had a great birthday full of those around me showing me how much they love me. I'm so blessed. 

My friend Kortnee posted this sweet thing on her Instagram. The pic was when my old coworkers took me out to dinner!

My friend Ashlee made me cakes. One to serve at my party and one to save for my actual bday. 

Travis (and Mas and the pups) got me pearls for my bday!! It was a huge surprise and they are so so beautiful. I love them!! They are 30" so they are just what I needed/wanted. 

I had a girls night/jewelry party and it was fun to see all my friends. Sierra and courtney smith got me gifts and it was fun to snack and chat with all who came. 

On my actual birthday I got cupcakes from my friend brittney (which bandit ate little stinker.) and Jess and Geoff! Mason was sick in the morning throwing up and diarrhea. Poor guy. But that's mommy life. We canceled the baby sitter and went out Monday instead. Kortnee hung out with me while Travis was at work and we got Sella's (calzones). 

Monday Travis and I went to Red Bento (sushi) and last of our Christmas shopping. Then I went to Joanns and micheals all. By. Myself. Ahhh it was glorious. 

Jaimie sent me a package of all the things that remind her of our friendship. And Karyn sent me Utah Hot Tamelee. My favorite. Ha ha. 

I got birthday money from Chris and Jim's be my grandma Susie. And lots and lots of facebook love. 

I'm so blessed. I love the people in my life so much. I'm better because of them. I look forward to being another year older and hopeful wiser. 

I'm the winner

Mason stacked his mats up one day and stood on top. He said 

"I am the winner. The winner stands on top! You can't stand here. You have to stand on the yellow one. Because, well... You are not a winner. Only daddy and I are the winners!"

Burned by a two year old. He is so creative and imaginative I love it. 

Grandmas toys

Mason loves the special toys at my parents and Travis parents house. Both have quite the collection of toys from our childhood and it's so cute to watch him play with all the dinos, lions, Legos and hot wheels they saved over the years. 

Thanksgiving.

We went to the west side to visit both sides of the fam for thanksgiving. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Roes with my family. We watched the Seahawks game. 

Then On Black Friday we had thanksgiving with Travis parents and did a little shopping. Got some ninja turtles at toys r us for mas and t. Yes both my boys love turtles. 

Saturday we got to see aunt Rene and uncle Carl and their kids. It was fun to catch up since they moved to Texas. My siblings took Mason to the pool  (SAC).  Then we went to my family's house to celebrate my birthday. We ate at Nachos 

And then had birthday cake and my family got me a Vera Bradley bag and two craft books. I loved it!! We watched the apple cup and Mason practiced with his front flips. They took a video of him in slow mo and after he watched it he did all his moves slowly. It was hilarious.

It was a great visit. Since we won't be traveling over Christmas it was a bittersweet goodbye but we are really excited to start our Christmas traditions together. 

Hip hip hooray for project life.

I fiiiiiiiiiinally finished masons baby book. Oh dear it is embarrassing how long it took but it's perfect and I love it. And some day his future wife will love it too. If you want a HUGE but amazing project look into project life by Becky higgens. Also probably would be helpful to order pre baby or at least when they are babes. Mason was about 10 months when I started. But thank goodness for my blog and facebook and all my notes in my planner to help me feel in the blank. Love love love how this turned out. 

Fort obsession.

Mason has discoverd the love for forts. I've started making them for him multiple times a day. He watches movies, plays with his ninja turtles and pretends to sleep in them.

November mas man

Fun times in November. Lots of fun doing together since I stay home with him. I am loving it. My house is clean, I have more time to craft, and I play all day with my favorite little man!

I started watching my best friend Ashley's kids and its been so fun. Mas loves his best friend over all day (most of the time). It's so fun to watch them play. 

Di-November.

Dinovember was going on at the Mattoons. Mason was so excited his crazy Dinos were getting into trouble this month while he slept. Travis got really into it and helped me come up with some awesome scenes. Here are a few fun ones Mason really enjoyed.

November drill

In Travis drill cls class he got a nasopharyngeal airway. He said it hurt and was totally gross but awesome. I'm glad he likes the military so much. Ha ha.
