Christmas Card 2010

The Mattoon’s in 2010
There were a lot of changes in 2010.
We were tried and tested again and again.
At the beginning of this past year,
we thought we were ready and had no fear.
Travis got accepted to WSU,
and we both had good jobs too.
Travis worked nights with school during the day,
to earn his AA it was the only way.
Courtney loved working and had lots of friends,
which made change much harder in the end.
With no work and Travis’ school all done,
it was time to road trip and have some fun.
We went on the road and traveled a bit,
and got our 1st baby Beagle Bandit.
We enjoyed time with family the entire summer,
but moving from Rexburg was a major bummer.
Before we left Courtney had one last thing to do:
Get over her fear of horses and ride a few.
Thanks to the Wolfe’s she did it, and loved it too.
Now we can’t wait to own one or two
We made it through, we don’t know how.
But Pullman is our new home for now.
Travis loves loves loves Washington State.
In his mind there is nothing to hate.
Courtney now teaches at the U of I,
loving her job and ward helps her days go by
Nala the boxer is now apart of our home.
She was a surprise we’re happy to own.
Now we are finally all settled in,
and amazed what a year it has been
We are thankful for the love
from our family and God above.
We wish you a wonderful year.
Stop in to see us if you are near.
Love the Mattoons:
Travis, Courtney, Bandit, and Nala
Keep up with us all year long

So I have this friend.
She is the most selfless person on the planet
Her heart is huge and she gives the best hugs.
She did something so wonderful for me and my little family.

Happy 23rd Bday to me

I turned 23! That feels so old to me. I am not sure why but maybe it's because now it seems I'm "in my twenties."
Jaimie and Nayt made me Chicken Cor Don Bleu it was delicious! Then on Monday the Dunns and the Muais took us to the best mexican place Casa Lopez
Then the following week we had a Murder Mystery Dinner Party. It was 1920's theme! It was so SO fun. I want to do another one soon!
Here are some pictures of the night

New Specs

I got new glasses! I was super excited to update my prescription and get new frames. I thought while I was at it I would take you on a trip down memory lane:

This is my first pair of glasses I wore full time. Starting in 9th or 10th grade.

These ones are from senior year (even though this picture isn't) I got black ones to wear with my black tones. Must match.

I got These after my brown glasses fell off on a ride in Vegas. I was so sad to lose them especially since I had to go on my cruise blind.

I got contacts right before my wedding and now I have these

My first wire frames. I love eye insurance

Craft Fair Madness

I forgot to share all my fun photos from recent craft fairs I participated in. I loved hanging out with my crafty girl friends while selling some fun things. I sold hair bows, earrings and i spy bags. My mom sent I spy blankets. Ashlee sold her photography letters and my friend Jaimie sold feather hair pins. Our friend Robyn also sold some of her aprons and bags.
Here is the first fair: Troy

These were at the Clarkston Fair

It was a lot of fun. But I think I'm done with them for a while. They are exhausting!

Nala the Boxer

So in October I think Travis and I agreed to watch a baby boxer. She was the last one to sell of her litter and needed to be weened from her mom. We named her Nala and began training her. I fell in love right away but had to remember she wasn't ours. A few families came to see her but no one took her home with them. The breeder paid us and covered the food and vet visits. Well after 2 months there was still no buyer so the breeder just told us we could have her if we paid for her last round of shots. So a nice surprise for us. Not necessarily planed but she's great. And Bandit and her are best friends.
