Ranch snow day.

While Travis was at army drill this weekend we went to visit GG and gramzi and grandpa were also there.
We stayed the night (and ate at Archie's--yum!!) and woke up to snow! Mason was beyond excited. I loved watching his excitement.
Well he was less then thrilled to get so many layers on. Sorry buddy. That's the rules!
He loved it and wanted to build a snowman but there wasn't much to work with. We made snow angels instead. He called them "snow dresses"

Another random pic from that weekend. He is so silly.

I also was given some old quilt tops to finish for the beds at the ranch. I'm super excited.

Crazy tracks

This kid of ours loves train tracks. Not a day goes by when we don't build with them. All over our house are train lines.
I helped him use all the pieces in on big track. We got a few new turn connection pieces at the toy store and blocks to hold up his bridges. It was super cool and got lots of use that night. He is so smart when I comes to the spacing and curves to the tracks.

River front in Spokane

We brought a friend up to spokane and got to explore  the riverfront park (and mall). I had never been so I was about as excited as Mason.

We found this goat that sucks up trash (and leaves when you don't have trash). Mason loved it. He rode it and fed it and played on the rocks for a long time. It was super cute.
Ryan took his hand and acted like it sucked his hand off and Mason freaked out. He was so scared to try it after that. It was funny but sad too ha ha.
He also said it had motorcycle horns. Goofy boy.
Mason loved all the ducks and of course wanted to swim even though it was freezing.

Later we went and fed them and they were so close I was really nervous.
Then we went to the big wagon slide. Mason was thrilled. It was fun. I've seen it from the road and always wanted to stop.
Can you see us up there at the top!?
Weeeeee!!
We also found these blocks. We took the picture for Opal. She loved these blocks when she lived here. We miss her!!

To warm up we went to the mall. Mason was a handful. At one point he said "put me down and don't follow me". Oh boy.  We found a toy store called WhizzKids and had a great time playing with the train set, millions of cars, dolls and stuffed animals. That store is really cool.

Then we played with this donation penny race. So funny what amuses toddlers for so long.

It was a fun day trip. Glad we were home so we could help out! We need to go back. There is still so much of that park we didn't see. Including the carousel which was closed for maintenance.

Shooting guns!

We went shooting at the ranch with the Browns. I was excited to blow off some steam from my crazy week and use my new shotgun! And we wanted to take advantage of the nice weather before its cold, rainy and snowy. We had a great time shooting pigeons and my new gun (20guage) didn't hurt which is great!
Travis shot his new guns too. Yes plural. On our way out we picked up another shotgun for him in addition to the one we got when I got mine. He sure is spoiled.
Even Benton and Bailie have little pump action BB guns.

It was a fun day. After we went out to casa for dinner. I love spending time with the Browns!

This is the only picture which melts my heart. Mason and bailie hanging out in the car for a while.

Dinos at home.

I decided to quit my job at the cccc. It was dramatic and sad and sudden but it was the right thing to do. Now I am staying home with Mason until I decide what to do next.
In the mean time Mas and I are living the dream. We've played all day in comfy clothes and loved spending time with Travis too. Split shift is a lot more appealing when your both home all day!

We brought home lots of pictures and things from the school. Mason wanted them in his room which he now refers to as "Dinos at home" or "mommy's Dinos"
We sing lots of songs, eat lots of snacks and watch way too much Dora but I'm loving it!!

Baby tuxedo

I found this baby tuxedo at a consignment store and thought it was adorable! Even has a cummerbund. Seriously.

My name is Mattoon, Mason Mattoon.
Haha. So stylin
